My communication skills have developed as on a day to day basis i will be talking to a range of different people. During the college block you have to be very self motivating. My computer sills have improved.
I have really enjoyed the program. During the college block we had to work from home but we where able to do a week away to meet the other apprentices which I really enjoyed. work is a friendly environment with a nice amount of work that will be provided.
The program has a structure in such that we have nine weeks at college and the rest is based at work. with my job this is a mix of site and mainly office. I have a list of experiences that I need to go though to provide evidence towards my standard.
I have a line manager who has a lot of interaction with me about the work that needs completing. This is helping towards my standard. If I am struggling there is a list of people that will help me and show me what to do.
We had a lot of support during out college block to get our assignments done and the teaching was to a high standard even if this was over teams. I have a monthly meeting about the evidence I have collected and what else I can do.
The work I completed at college give me a good understanding of the background of the construction industry such as different foundations to the building. I had very little prior knowledge of the industry so was needed. I had helped me with what evidence needed to be a QS.
As we are in a pandemic it has been hard to be in the Office as I spend most of the work at home. During the college block there was a lot of emails about extra curricular activities.

I do believe they are a really good company that look after their employees. I have private healthcare, a pension scheme, an equipment that I may need and will be getting a car provided in a few years. The work is to a high standard. It is based across the UK
