On a day to day basis I provide technical support to customers and clients who use out platform. I respond to tickets advising customers on the steps they need to take to resolve and issue, and those issues that I am unable to respond to I escalate to our development team
While employed at my company I have primarily developed my communication skills, both written and spoken. This is resulting from the fact that my job requires constant communication with customers and colleagues. I have also expanded on my existing technical knowledge through training and revision for exams that I have taken and will take as part of my apprenticeship.
I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship programme. At my company I have made friends for life, and have been welcomed into the team with open arms - I look forward to work each day. I am also in constant contact with my apprenticeship coach who has been extremely helpful, and relish the new challenges that each day brings.
My apprenticeship programme is extremely well organised. I am made aware of upcoming courses and exams far in advance, giving me enough time to prepare and notify my employers about my upcoming absences. On the one occasion that I was unable to attend a course due to unexpected work commitments, it was rearranged for me quickly and with full acceptance and understanding from the course providers.
My employers give me constant support and put me in a great position to excel in my course. They constantly check up on the progress of my apprenticeship and encourage me to succeed. They are always understanding when I am unable to work due to apprenticeship commitments and I am extremely grateful for their support.
My training providers give me full support when i am working towards my qualifications. They encourage me to take on as much training as I can and ensure that I am always motivated. They push me towards my exam when they know I am ready and the faith they show they constantly have in me is extremely reassuring.
I would say that the training I have been doing does have a positive impact on my abilities in my job role, however as of so far this is mainly in my communication skills. My job enclosed working on a unique platform and therefore there is no course that would directly relate to what I do in my role, however I believe what I have been doing comes as close as anything could.
Due to the covid restrictions and the fact that some form of social distancing and multiple lockdowns have been in effect since I started my role, it’s hard to properly answer this question. We do however get together socially outside of work when possible, and will be going for meals together as a team once restrictions are lifted.
Yes
My company have made me feel extremely welcome since I first walked through the door. They support me constantly and I feel like a valued member of the team. I am already being pushed towards trying new things with a view of advancing my career in the direction I wish to take it.
I would say that as longer as you are hardworking and eager to learn you will thrive in working for the company that I do. There seems to be no limit in place regarding progression within the company and therefore I believe that my role would suit ambitious individuals who would like to learn more everyday while progressing through the ranks of the company.
