I help support the leader in the day to day running of the Cylch. I support with planning and doing activities with the children. I make sure all staff are up to date with policies and we are following CIW regulations. My role is also to help children development new skills.
Working in the setting has given me a chance to develop new skills while working with flying start. It has given me a chance to work in a different way to support the children. I have also updated my skills in child protection and also updated my first aid qualification
I have just started the program and have enjoyed what I have done so far. I have been looking over the tests that I need to do and it has made me think about my role and reflect on my job. I’m looking forward to do the observations for my course
From my first phone call to date I have had a lot of support and everything has been very well organised and I’ve been able to find everything I need and be able to work through the work with great ease. I have no doubt the rest of the course will be just as organised
I have a great deal of support not only from the committee of the Cylch but also from my manager. She has given me time off for meetings and has offered any support. I have also got support from the girls in work and they are rooting for me to do well
I’ve not long started but I have had a great deal of support at every stage with everyone I have spoken to from my assessor to the person who signed me up. I feel like I can contact that at any time if I need any extra support at all
This qualification will support me not only to gain the qualification I need for my job but it will also give me a good up to date knowledge of things that might have changed over the last few years. It will also help me with my planning and day to day work
Not at the moment due to Covid. But I have been put on a lot of training courses to update my skills in food hygiene, first aid, fire safety and child protection and safeguarding. We as a team in work are planning a staff bonding day as I am new to the team
Yes
I’ve felt that I have been supported and listened to at every stage. Doing a qualification as a mature students can be daunting but I feel that I have been respected at every meeting. It was easy to sign up and was all done via teams and over the phone
Just do it. I wish I had done this years ago. It was so quick and easy to sign up and there was no stress in the sign up process. Everyone I have spoken to has been very helpful and kind and I know I’m going to enjoy my course
