  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • my role as a early year apprentice involves me working closely with children aged 8 months to age 2. this role involves me changing nappy’s, having a close working relationship with the parents/career and other networks of the children that will benefit and also feeding/ playing with the children.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have learn lots of new skills during the course of my apprenticeship that have helped me in everyday life and in my social work interactions in and outside of work. this has really boosted my confidence and helped me gain lots of new relationships with lot of different people.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i have really enjoyed this program. it was really helped me through a lot of my work relationships and made me more appreciative for the tutors and the staff that have helped me through my program. it gets hard at time but the support you can get is very worth it

  • this program is was abit rocky at the start as i wasn’t fully aware of the problem starting when it did but when i got onto it i had to redo courses i had already done. although i found it better after i thought it was planned good d

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i received lots of support from my employer, they helped me with lots of different assignments that we did and supported me through all my exams and other commitments. i found this extremely helpful as i worked such long hours i found it hard to go home and do work

  • i received lots of support from my tutor, they helped me with lots of different assignments that we did and supported me through all my exams and other commitments.as i work such long hours they supported me though exams on my hours and helped me through lots of exams

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i feel my qualifications went well although i completed it thought covid 19 i didn’t get the experience of going to college and working but i worked from home and found it very hard to concentrate at home as i’m very easily distracted. but it was very good

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • i personally didn’t do any extra activities as i was doing my course in the middle of covid so it meant nothing was open for me to go to or do but if it was open i would of considered going to different social events and meeting in this

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • i would recommend this course to people because i find it has helped me grow in the work place and gain the confidence to go for thing like this more often. i found i made lots of friends that will help me in the future events and gain me confidence


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aspirations?
  • i don’t personally have any tips for people going into training although i did it from the comfort of my own home, i found it hard to get into the course but after a few lessons i began to really enjoy it and want more lessons in the end
