  • I am a Network Engineer for a financial institution. My role is to protect service for our customers and colleagues everyday and ensure that the network infrastructure is looked after.

  • I have learnt so much about the world of tech! My confidence has blossomed. I have better communication skills and a greater sense of self worth in my role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme has been amazing. It has given me opportunities that I could only dream of. So many doors have opened for me thanks to this apprenticeship.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Amazing! Firebrand looked after me all the way from enrolment right through to the end point assessment gateway.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was so supportive. I had weekly catch ups with my team leader who helped me to keep on top of all the paperwork and made it a really enjoyable experience.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider gave me constant support all the way through the course. My tutor put a lot of time into reviewing my projects and gave me really constructive feedback to push me to be my best!

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I wouldn't be where I am now without this qualification. It's given me the time and breathing space I needed to be able to learn and progress in the world of tech.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are loads! Not only are there internal events but there have been plenty of external webinars to take part of that both my employer and training provider recommended to me.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Firebrand Training Ltd have been amazing! My tutor in particular was a shining star. He believed in me from the very first meeting and kept me grounded to push myself to be the best I could be.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Be prepared to put in the work. It's up to you to go out there and do the research, learn new things and think outside the box. If you do this you'll find Firebrands support a massive boost. If you want to qualify fast then this is the company for you.
