Assisting with payments for subcontractors, raising subcontract orders, completing site safety inspections, managing subcontractor packages, procurement activities, assisting with monthly forecasting and reporting.
Greater knowledge about Civil Engineering contracts, development regarding management of time and prioritising tasks.
I have been given quite a lot of responsibility on my site and have been trusted to manage specific tasks independently. I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship I have learnt many new skills in a short space of time and the team have been very welcoming at BAM.
The apprenticeship programme is very well structured we are told as soon as possible when our next college blocks are and given clear timetables. Both apprenticeship managers are always available if you need any additional support.
BAM are a very supportive company that offer many benefits to improve your time at work.
My college lectures were always available if I had any further questions and were happy to arrange 1-1 support to go through specific tasks again if needed.
The qualification I study and my role go hand in hand a lot of things I learn at college if not all are applicable when I am on site and make it easier to understand the works that are being carried out on my project.
Yes BAM give each employee a volunteering day in which a lot of project teams do joint events together.
