My role involves paying invoices on behalf of policyholders to agents around the world who provide assistance to us and our policyholders. I am also responsible for resolving queries relating to open claims and disputes between facilities and our policyholders.
I have developed my skills on how to speak to people professionally over the phone, how to resolve queries in a swift and concise manner and how to deal with people who are angry or upset to reach a satisfactory conclusion for both parties
I am currently enjoying my apprenticeship programme as I am able to develop new skills and learn valuable topics that will benefit me in my career. I am being offered constant support as and when I need it and given tutoring in many ways
My programme is very well organised, with weekly seminars and an updated schedule. I am also in constant contact with a skills coach who provides support
I am receiving great support from my employer. I am having monthly one to one sessions with my manager to discuss my progress and plan for the following month. I am also given 20% off the job learning, meaning I have one day off a week to study
As previously stated, I have weekly seminars which are recorded and emailed to me, and contact with a skills coach via email and a call every 6 weeks
I feel it allows me to apply better accounting practices to the way I deal with payments and reconciliation with our account spreadsheets
There are quizzes etc. but because of social distancing events are very limited
Yes
It is a good company to work for that offers a decent amount of career progression in addition to offering qualifications
The only advice I would give to others applying would be to work hard, be open and honest and do what you can to further your career.
