I work with learners within the health and social care setting for two different qualifications at two different levels. I carry out reviews and observations to support the learners through the qualification. I work from West Wales to North Wales to within South Wales Monday to Friday and occasionally weekends
My Vocational coach has supported me to develop my skills in health and social care managerial position. I have learnt how to evaluate and analyse the criteria, researched legislation and understood more about the job role. I have been involved in planning and supervisions along with team meetings. I am pleased with what I have achieved to date.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is amazing with me, patient and understanding. She goes over the units criteria and gives me information based on her own experiences of working as a manager to make it more real and something that I can then apply to my own experience working in the setting. I am thoroughly enjoying it.
We structure the programme ourselves. We plan dates for reviews in advance, when work is expected in and I know that she is on hand if I ever need her. We know what we need to do and I feel that she gives me the time to succeed.
There isn't a huge lot of support as I am left to do my own learning. My manager does ask me how I am doing with the qualification and I am aware that I can ask for support whenever I need it but my main role takes priority so it isn't a focus for my employer at the moment hence the low score.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is amazing and very supportive. She is available on the end of a phone call, text or email whenever I need her. She has been understanding about the lockdowns for observations and discussions and I am looking forward to completing the qualification. I am lucky to have her as my VC
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] makes me think about the job role and the smaller aspects when completing work and making a difference in work. She reminds me that everyone who works in the care setting contributes to the running of the home and they are to be valued. I try to reflect this in my work.
Unfortunately I have 3 children and a full time job that takes up the majority of my time. In my spare time, I have to admit to preferring some down time and watching tv programmes on serial killers and murders. Due to lockdown, all extra curricular activities have been put on hold for the time being. The low score reflects the impact lockdown has had not the activities being offered

Everyone is friendly and approachable at Aspiration training. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is incredibly understanding and a fabulous tutor for the qualification. She understands my needs and is supporting me to be a better manager within the setting. Always on hand for a chat and boosting self-confidence. I am pleased with the service provided.
Get [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] as your VC!!! Make sure you outline exactly what you want to get out of the qualification. Make notes before the setting and ensure that you have pen and paper or a tape recorder to record the advice your VC gives you. Put time aside each week to complete the written work.
