The day-to-days tasks will including following SOI which is a standards that we have to follow. The daily tasks can be challenging at times but very rewarding! I would suggest this apprenticeship to anyone interested as it’s very good. Other tasks that we have to do is our college work.
Yes you gain a lot of new skills at college where you will spend the first year of the apprenticeship which is based at college cambria. The college it self isn’t that far from the main factory but when you work in the factory you gain a lot of experience and skills
I really enjoy the programme which I am on at the minute. I gain a lot of new information and experience from each day that I work on site. The knowledge that I have gained from both the factory and college will help me in my career at a later date.
The structured from the apprenticeship programme that I am currently on is very organised as I know what dates I have different training course, it’s also very good that all our training course with the dates are sent to us in advance and we can use trackers for our college wor.
The support that i have received from my employer is a lot. They have put my through college courses and also onsite training that will help me. I also would recommend this employer to anyone that has a interest in aviation. This is a very good employer who supports all their staff members.
Yes a lot we have 2 different training providers which are based at college cambria one is a TTO who will ensure that we are doing the practical work all correctly. Then we have our academic teacher which we have to complete 4 courses each year in out apprenticeship to come out of our time.
The first year will help anyone a lot as our training provider coleg cambria shows you all the basics to ensure you understand the tasks which we may face while on site. The first year you’ll gain a lot of knowledge and also how to work to the correct standards.
Yes there are extra curricular events that we have both do on site or even at the college after our working hours. These will include stuff like sporting activities and social events. It very important to try and take part in one to gain friends that will help you through this course
Yes
I would highly recommend airbus to anyone that is looking to get an apprenticeship. It’s one of the best ones to have in the local area and the knowledge and experience we gain will help you so much. There are even opportunities to go work aboard at a different country.
To ensure to complete all college woek as soon as possible it’s very important to achieve all the deadline that airbus set for you to complete the course and get a good career at the end. I would recommend to gain some information on airbus to ensure that this is the job for you
