Service Delivery involves providing and maintaining the existing telecommunications services. Varies from providing a customer with a simple phone line or in addition broadband line too. Working above ground, in local exchanges, customer premises etc.
I have developed and learnt new skills throughout the apprenticeship. From knowledge on how the infrastructure works to how to maintain it within the required standard set by the company.
I enjoy my programme as it enables me to learn and develop key skills and knowledge in order to successfully complete my apprenticeship. It also give me great satisfaction that with the support I will be able to go on and become a field engineer after completing my course.
The programme is well organised, it has a structure in place which enables me to learn within workshops as well as apply those skills in the practical infrastructure.
They supply me with all the tools and knowledge required to complete tasks, it is also god that they are always a phone call away to support you when required.
They provide me with a lot of support. They have provided me with materials to read and apply to my training to enhance my skills. They are also happy to help further if and when required by telephone or email.
It enables me to make calculated decisions that give a better experience for the customer. Making sure I am applying all the knowledge gained through the qualification to the role is key.
There is a social network available to join which is very helpful in regards to my role. People are available throughout the country who are in a similar role that are able To help when required.

Openreach provides you with all the knowledge and skills required in order to succeed within the company. They invest heavily on safety equipment and tools enabling you to complete jobs and tasks in the most safest and efficient manner possible. They are able to give you assistance when required and someone is always only a phone call away if your in need of help.
I would advise to just be yourself, show that you are able to work in a team but also as an individual. Most times you will be completing jobs on your own, so showing that you are able to work on your own is helpful. Some sort of customer service background can help but not essential (depending on which area of the business you are applying for).
