  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At the moment I am undergoing a training programme to get experiences and qualifications. This will essentially help me to be qualified and have the basic knowledge to complete jobs after my training is over. So weekly, we are based in different training centres, learning different courses by couches from various locations.

This will essentially help me to be qualified and have the basic knowledge to complete jobs after my training is over. So because everything is new to me, I am absorbing it everything that I can to develop the relevent skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Since I am taking in new skills, I am very much enjoying the programme because it’s something I haven’t experienced before. At the moment I am undergoing a training programme to get experiences and qualifications. This will essentially help me to be qualified and have the basic knowledge to complete jobs after my training is over.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Everything in the programme was laid out in the timetable from the start. So all the trainees knew what was expected of them from start to finish of the programme. At the beginning we were all giving presentations and welcome packagers explaining everything from accommodations, to where and when we will be studying.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • During the training, we receive a lot of new information to take in and understand. So it’s only natural to have a lot of questions. So all the coaches encourage us a lot so ask anything we aren’t sure about. So they try their very best go accommodate to our needs.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification that I have makes me perform better at my role by helping me understand how to help children and how to help them develop. If I didn’t know what I was doing in my role then it would be difficult for me to understand what I am doing

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The extra activities that I attend is safeguarding training, first aid and health and safety. These are really important as I need to know what I am dealing with and how to control the situation when it occurs. Also I enjoy doing these activities as it boost my skills and understanding.

  • Yes

  • The reason I will recommend this job to someone is because it’s good experience and you learn new things. And with that it will help you in a sticky situation and you will know what to do. Plus it’s a good way to communicate with other people.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
  • Then applying make sure you enjoy what you are doing and that if you have interest in working for openreach. Also to do good research on the job before applying so that you will know what you are dealing with.
