I provide Fibre broadband to the public in their homes. I start each day with 3 appointments and i arrive at each and install an line of fibre to the premises. This can include climbing telegraph poles or working in manholes.
Yes i have acquired many new skills like Climbing, Rodding, Drilling, Learning the Fibre telecoms network.
I really enjoy the programme so far. It's very hands on.
Very. We have an appointed assessor to guide us through.
Lots of support. We have a Manager and 3 Patch leads that are all just a call away. They are open minded and very supportive in all situations i have come across.
Our Apprenticeship assessor is always available to help with queries.
It helps us prove we have learnt all we need to complete the role. Backing up all the knowledge we have learnt.
We have plenty of oppurtunities for more learning and skill obtaining.
Yes
It is a breath of fresh air. A role where you can work indepently but still feel part of a team. Learn new things everyday. Each day is different. Lots of opportunities to up skill further.
Keep an open mind and be ready to get hands on.
