I am an Internal Communications apprentice, this means that i work with our internal Intranet, posting articles, announcements and more - as well as sending important announcements to staff, working on company videos for internal use and sharing important information with the whole company.
My written communication skills have dramatically improved as well as my use of technology. There are lots of programmes that i have never used before that we use on a daily basic such as MS Sharepoint , Outlook, video editing, and tools such as our Intranet Admin tool.
I enjoy it very much! I'm constantly learning new things and being put in positions to hone my skills. I have also been given lots of responsibilities which makes me feel very confident in what i'm doing.
I have catch ups and sessions with my training provider every 4 weeks and i take 1 day each week to work on my apprenticeship. Overall i think it is well structured.
Lots of support! both my manager and the team in recruitment regularly ask me how i'm getting on and offer help if it is needed.
I have traing sessions with my training provider every 4 weeks, these are very helpful as they help to structure my work. For my course i have to create a portfolio of work, i do wish we could cover portfolio creation a little more.
My qualification is very relevant as it is focused on content creation which is what my role involves. I have been able to use lots of what i learn on my course in my day to day life.
Yes definitely, at the moment with COVID restrictions its a little difficult but there are art webinars, charity events, auctions, evening events to attend as well as more once we're back in the office.
Yes
It is a really exciting company to be a part of, especially if you love art. It is a very fast paced environment and you have lot of oppertunity to learn and work on amazing things.
Be open to anything and everything, you will have plenty of oppertunities to work on things you wouldn't expect you would be able to do in your position. This is what makes it so exciting!
