i am a cabler for openreach and my job involves rodding and roping ducts for new fibre cable. installing the fibre cable into the ducts using different methods of installing the fibre optic cable. from using duct motors to winches and hand rods this can be over massive distances of 500m plus.

i am enjoying the programme because i have met some nice people along the way my assessor is a pleasure to work with and has helped me when ever i needed it. any struggles ive had have been dealt with in a professional manner i look forward to continuing my journey
everything on the programme was structured very well the training has been fantastic so has the support from colleagues to assessors and managment. the tasks have been well explained and if any issues they have been resolved very well. overall it has been a great experience doing this programme thank you team
from HR support has been there if needed my mentor has been great i have learnt lots from him and enjoying working in a team with. support from my assessor Julie has been fantastic and has made this very easy and enjoyable unfortunately i feel like it is very hard to get assistance from my manager
Julie has been fantastic always at the end of a phone call or an email and has given great advice and guidance she has a fantastic attitude and look forward to my study days with her. over all i have very much so enjoyed my time working towards my qualifications.
i feel that my qualifications through my training provider helps me to perform better in my role because it has given me extra tools and knowledge with my computer skills my english skills and these skills are vital in progression no only in my job but in every day life
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? i am not really sure on the answer for this how ever there are websites and social networking websites with in openreach which in the future i will look at a see if there are any groups or events to join in on
Yes
yes i would because they are a great company with many doors and opportunities to further in life an up skills to learn you new things and climb up with in the company, the pay is decent and perks are good too i enjoy coming to work and look forward to my future
be honest if you have weaknesses do be afraid to say as they have the support to help and strengthen those weakness and help develop a great human being it is a close company everyone will help if they can show a positive attitude but they want you to speak up they even have a page for that
