  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role is to care and look after children, I am also there to educate and protect the children that I look after. On a day to day basis I care for the children by feeding, cleaning and being there for them this could mean anything from listening to them when they are worried or just being there to watch them play.

  • I’ve learnt good communication and listening skills between both the staff and the children.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it a lot although there are struggles I get it through it and remember at the end of the day I am there for the children and I am there voice when they need me to be.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I’ve had some difficulties where I’ve not known where I am at as I’ve been told mixed messages but it’s been easy to overcome and get back on the right track.

  • Not a huge amount

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get a lot of support but I think I could’ve had more support as I struggled a lot with understanding and need to be told a few times before I get it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Once I am a qualified level 3 practitioner I will be able to play a bigger part in my role as I will then be allowed to do more stuff so that it can take the pressure of others.

  • I believe there are training courses I can go on.

  • Yes

  • Everyone at realise are really nice genuine people


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Realise?
  • Get your work done on time and keep up to date it’s very easy to fall behind
