On a day-to-day basis my role involves managing the Work In Progress inbox which has different emails of fee earners requesting tasks about matters. I also manage an application called Xero which has 360 billing on it and I am the only person who has this role and I have to credit and upload bills on here. I have other tasks I do like VF, bill submissions and finalising but these aren't daily tasks they are tasks I am asked to do sometimes by my colleagues when its month end and everyone is really busy.
I would say the skill I developed the most was Microsoft applications and other applications like 3E. when I started I didn't know how to work any of them but now I can easily access any application I want and use it accordingly. I had knowledge in word, PowerPoint and excel as I used them in school but I have obviously still developed those skills further with my job.
I really enjoy my programme as I love being able to push myself further and learn new and different things to extend my knowledge. there are some parts of the programme I do struggle on but after I get the hang of it I find it really easy to build and develop on them areas.
I feel the programme is organised and structured well. when there are missions due we have webinars we watch beforehand so we are able to go in to the mission knowing what to do. Also on the hub there are so many useful documents and help sheets so if we are struggling it is easy to access tools to help.
I feel like I receive a good amount of support from my employer. If I ever feel like I need help or some advice on anything I know I am able to just email or ring and they will really help me until I understand and they don't make me feel like I am not able to ask them anything.
i receive a good amount of support from my training provider. i don't feel like any question or query is stupid, they will always help me with anything i need and i feel like i can rely on them for support.
In my opinion i feel like the apprenticeship doesn't really help me preform better in my role as when i am working i get help from my line manager and colleagues and i feel like the apprenticeship doesn't really help me with this. Obviously The missions i have to do are mostly based around my role so when i am completing them I am talking about daily things i do and how i feel about them and how i complete them so that's still useful.
To my knowledge there aren't any extra-curricular activites to get involved in. however we have a group teams chat and we have organised some meet ups where we can just go for lunch so we are able to all catch up after lockdown is lifted which is a nice little thing to do for the team.
Yes
I would recommend it because it is such a nice company and all the people who work there are amazing. There are many different job roles in the business itself and they are so helpful.
I think i would just say work to your best ability and show people you are a hard worker as DWF is known to reward people who persevere in their job role and you will get recognised for doing this which is a really good trait for the company to have.
