My role as a Training and Development Officer involves working with a caseload of Apprentices and delivering Apprenticeship in Customer Service to the Apprentices. This is done with a mixture of classroom and 1-2-1 training. I also complete reviews, 1-2-1 and Functional Skills Support with the learners ensuring the take part in these visits and activities at least once a month,
In my job role most recently I have learnt about the starts process, Safeguarding training and how to complete reviews. Within my Supervisor/Team Leader Apprenticeship, I have learnt how to Develop Self, Leadership and Management, Management of Self, Communication, Building Relationships, Learning People, Self Awareness, Managing People and Operational Management.
I enjoyed completing the Apprenticeship and learning more about Team Leading and Supervising people within my own sector. I enjoyed learning about how to lead a team and gaining experience in doing this. During the Apprenticeship I had the opportunity to supervise other members of staff and to mentor new staff.
The Apprenticeship was organised and appointments were arranged regularly for me to attend. Classroom session were arranged each month to deliver the theory and then tasks were set to gather practical experience. Modules were introduced on a regular basis to help me remain on track. 1-2-1's were also arranged to support me with the tasks.
I have recieved support form my employer to enable me to do this Apprenticeship. I was allocated 20% or the job training time which equated to one day per week which I could spend completing Apprenticeship tasks. I was able to ask my Line Manager for help when completing tasks.
As I work for a Training Provider, the support came equally from the point of the employer and training provider. I was allocated a Training and Development Officer who supported me throughout and made sure that I understood what I needed to do for the tasks. Regular appointments were made to achieve this.
My qualification has given me a better understanding of Team Leading and Supervising. It has also given me the opportunity to gain more practical experience in these areas in the work that I do. I am able to put the thinks that I have learnt into practice when working with my colleagues.
At work there are opportunities to get involved in charity events and fitness and wellbeing events. There is a professional networking events arranged around Safeguarding to support learners and colleagues. I would like to get more involved in extra-curricular activities at work and would be interesting in finding out more about these.
Yes
I would recommend Realise Training as they have an excellent reputation in training and the delivery of qualifications. They are professional and have an excellent achievement rate. They offer a wide range of Apprenticeships and support the learners throughout their learning journey. Many learners achieved Distinctions in their Apprenticeship results.
If you are applying to Realise Training, look at the wide range of qualification available and choose what would be most suitable for you in your job role. These qualifications are open to anybody no matter their age, previous qualification or previous experience so there is something for everyone to achieve.
