I work in national markets audit where we test the financial statements of different companies to ensure they give a true and fair view. My day-to-day involves working with excel mainly but also speaking to the team and the client.
My confidence has grown over the last couple of years for sure. KPMG provide us with opportunities to develop skills and share them with others
I really enjoy the programme as it suits my lifestyle however, it can get stressful when doing the exams.
I know exactly what happens in my programme so I would say it is very well structured with a clear career path. The materials for the tuitions have been ariving late since working from home so could be better in organising.
I receive a lot of support as we have performance managers who are there to talk to whenever as well as my peer group. We also get 1 day study leave which could be increased in my opinion.
We have tuitions and 'step ladder' to complete as well as practice assessments for each unit.
It provides me with better understanding of what I'm doing and the background of the industry (i.e. the accounts) so it's easier to question the client and understand what you're doing
Yes, we have a netball club, socials and 6 CSR days given to us where we can use to work with a charity.
Yes
It's a great place to work as the company does care about you. It's well paid with a clear career path
