The opportunities presented are truly top class, it really is what you make out of it and the sky is the limit. At times work can be challenging but I feel this fosters our growth and we also have a well developed network to support us.
I have learnt a wide array of professional skills that serve me well in my role. Each placement serves as an opportunity to develop in specific areas that cater to our teams requirements and we regularly rotate to get the best overall experience.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at this organisation, including the great people that I have met and early career advancement that it has provided me. Although workload can be intense at times especially juggling university and placement commitments.
There is a clear development plan, although I felt this could have been conveyed to us in a better way especially when first joining the organisation. This scheme is relatively new and is improving with each year that it is run.
Support networks in place with a strong emphasis on supporting peoples mental health and wellbeing.
I feel that this has been to a good standard, especially given the ongoing challenges of Covid that has lead to us predominantly working online.
Our degree is Management and Business so I find most of our modules relate directly to our role but some modules perhaps do not help us perform better in our role albeit still useful to know.
There are a large number of extra-curricular actives to get involved with whether it be volunteering, staff network groups, socials or sports teams i.e. London Underground FC.
Yes
It has been a great employer in almost every respect, I am so pleased with my time thus far that I can envisage staying on after my apprenticeship is complete.
I would say do your research, understand some projects that TfL are actively working on and think deeply why you would like to join the organisation. Prepare for any tough interview questions and practice, practice, practice.
