I assist the Relationship Managers in our department with hitting their targets on lending, customer interactions, product needs, answering customer queries, monitoring customer accounts. despite everything being remote due to COVID, I still have lots of contact with the RMs and their customers - it's very interactive and no two days are the same - lots to learn!
I feel I've gained a better understanding about how organized and productive I can be - their is so much to learn and so many different customer portfolios to understand it's never dull. I've found I'm very able to communicate well with my peers and customers, and have been very adaptable in taking on the role.
I genuinely really enjoy my programme - there is so much to do you are never bored, and if you enjoy learning the RM's/ARM's are so helpful and take the time to explain things.
The actual BPP programme runs via a webinar once a week. The tutor is very helpful however I would say a lot of content is crammed into those 3 hours and it can be difficult to fully absorb and make notes.
I receive so much support from both my employer and my colleagues - they are all amazing!
I receive adequate support from the training provider.
I do feel the qualification is useful as a base understanding of the role, however it isn't specific in the fact that most things I have learnt on the job as and when.
So far no, but that is due to COVID and I believe there will be plenty of networking opportunities once the pandemic is over.
Yes
A brill company that puts so much time and effort into their apprentices!!
Definitely be yourself - I had never worked in an office or a bank before (always hospitality!) but they were not bothered in the slightest by this - they wanted to know how my previous job had developed me, what kind of worker I was, what my goals/aspirations were. They are 100% more interested in your personality and how hard you will work!
