my role is a business customer advisor for natwest and rbs. I am responsible for providing customer service to business and personal customers and i aid them with their everyday banking. I provide great customer service on both webchat and telephony and ensure i am meeting all their banking needs.
i have both learnt new skills and developed my existing skill set. the skills i have learnt are organisational and time management skills which i have been using within my job role to organise my tasks and workload. This has helped me be successful in meeting goals and set deadlines
i enjoyed my programme extremely, it was very insightful, challenging and developing. it was an amazing experience and i feel as though it has been very useful in my personal and career development. I think the programme was very well planned and we used a range of different methods for assignments.
the programme was very well organised and the structure was very consistent. the delivery of all the tasks, meetings and professional discussions was great and i feel as though the team members were very supportive in all aspects of the programme. the structure was clear and concise and explained to us well
The support from my employer was great, they were always checking in with me to see if there was anything else that they needed. they provided me with excellent support throughout and provided me with anything that i needed to support me such as extra time or help with an assignment
i received support from my training provider when i was working towards my apprenticeship qualification mainly when i was reaching the end point time and needed some guidance. they sent me many emails and assisted calls to support me and guide me into achieving what i was aiming for overall
the qualification will help me in my role as i'll be able to use the skills i have not only learnt but developed in my every day job role. i will use my knowledge aswell to help me perform to my best ability and be a great customer advisor.
yes there are activities that we can get involved in such as being a champion in a certain area and also being a team rep. you can also get involved in many networks via the organisations workplace page which includes many different activities and engagements for all members of staff
Yes
excellent support and really friendly staff, great colleagues that will always help you and also great higher management support. great place to learn new skills and develop existing skills so that you can kick start your career and decide where it is you wish to specialise in and which department
my personal advice for others would be to go in with an open mind, be confident and willing to learn, display all your skills and really advertise why you should be chosen. talk about your experiences and aspirations and where you see yourself developing in the business in your future career
