During my day to day work, I have to manage around 50/100 accounts that i am actively targetting and maintaining a relationship, be it sourcing quotes, catch-up calls cold calls or keeping up with the main contacts within the account, mostly it is cold calling and emailling however it's incredibly enjoyable when you reach the end goal of breaking a new account and getting the rewards afterward.
Since starting the apprenticeship i have developed into a more well rounded sales person, we have training every month with what is going on in the IT world with remit & also sales training itself. Softcat also offer internal training frequently, there is always something new to learn in the job and softcat give you the platform to learn it all with what they offer.
I've enjoyed my time here at Softcat immensely, Sales is such a hard / stressful job at the best of times, but it feels like they arm you with everything that you could need to tackle any issues. They have a whole website which covers all our day to day work, all the staff within softcat are happy to help it's really a well rounded company that makes you feel incredibly good to be working for
Induction was one month long and gave all of us a great understanding of what was expected of us in our day to day role. Support in softcat is great, as mentioned before they always have someone who is willing to help either in your team or in other departments.
I have one to ones with my manager every week since i've started, which are helpful. the team & other departments are always happy to help by jumping on a call with us to go through the best ways to do what we need to do, training in softcat has been immense i've worked previously in a sales job and never had the culture and supprot that is offered.
We recieve training once or twice a month from Remit, they are always on call as well, my provider and tutor has even answer questions out of hours when I needed to put in some course work. They really make it easy to do the work and break it down to a level that i can understand
I feel like it helps massively, we have two differnt tutors, one focuses exclusively on sales giving us an idea on how to crack accounts and ideas on closing deals, she is incredibly helpful and always open to taking on our real life exprineces and incorperating that into her training.
Loads, everything you could really think of, obvouisly because of COVID, it's not been as busy this year. But i have attended nights out with the team, all the apprentices are going on an week away to lake district for a team building expriences, whihc i'm looking forward too
Yes
As listed above, the social aspect and even employee satisfaction is huge, i've worked in a handful of companies and never exprienced this level of cares for employees. Softcat have a huge drive on employee satisafaction and i've actually have recommended Softcat to a couple of my friends who are going through interviews at the moment
Do it, I don't think anyone would regret joining softcat as a company. really inclusive of everyone's beliefs and outlooks, they are in my eyes one of the best employers in my area. Fun bunch that look after there staff well and offer oppertunitys that most other places wouldn't consider.,
