Practical and Theory based training within the workplace and at College. Learning the key skills in an assembly environment as well as gaining Experience within a Manufacturing and engineering workplace.
I have learnt more about the day to day goings on in an automotive assembly environment and the planning that goes into it. I have also learned new skills, which include welding and creating electrical circuits on a circuit board.
I massively enjoy my apprenticeship programme, it is well and truly the job I wish to go into and skills that I will apply to the rest of my working career.
For the most part I find the programme to be organised however, I believe communication between my workplace and the training centre (Chichester College) could be improved upon as a lot of the managers, don’t know what we are doing at college.
If I need support, I know who I need to contact and they will be able to help me.
I have a meeting with my apprenticeship coach fortnightly so she knows what work I am focusing on and can help me to see where I need to be in order to be on track.
A lot of the practical based learning with my training provider cannot be applied to my workplace however it serves a purpose of understanding quality and reviewing products we make.
I know that there are meetings every now and then to help expand your network at work by meeting new people. In regards to social activities I am unaware of there is any

It is an excellent place to work, with friendly people that make you feel welcome and included. Day to day is always different and we face challenges but we overcome them to better ourselves.
There are many opportunities in many different departments, so find what most interests you in the workplace and you will be happy being a part of the team.
