as an account executive it is my job to find are target companies to sell IT solutions to this consists of cold calling, cold emailing and building relationships with other company's it is my job to seek out the solution the customer wants whether that is hardware software etc.
i have learnt to be independent and co-dependent when needed i have also learnt to be more confident when portraying myself and the company i have also developed existing skills such as my IT skills and knowledge i have also learnt how to properly construct emails and that is what i have learnt at softcat
i enjoy my programme as it has helped mould and grow me internally i also enjoy the incentives and the perks that come with working at softcat for example we have an activity trip booked in September for team building and they have made sure that it would still happening even with covid
I believe the programme is well organised and well structured. they do this by splitting up the apprenticed into smaller class room like groups so its easy for us to learn. the genral attitude towards supporting me is professional but not robotic which is great as there is a good vibe in the sessions
we receive a lot of support and guidance with our or should i say my problems we have our apprentice manager that have previously done the apprenticeship where they give us their advice and expertise so they can help us where we might struggle also we have training sessions constantly to help us
we have a number of training days with our training provider some technical where we learn and some sessions are one on one sessions to help us with our portfolios this is good becaus if you are struggling then they more than enough session to help even if it does get a bit confusing doing virtually
Does what im learning on my apprenticeship help me on a day-to-day basis in my role? the answer to that question is yes i feel more confident when talking to customer or anyone about what i do and what the company offers this is because i now have a greater understanding
there is a number of examples every year they have the annual kick off where the whole company gets together we have golf football and many other sport teams and if you dont like sports there are gaming groups food groups car guys and many other examples of social activities.

as i believe it to be fun and insight full as well as full of opportunities to learn. i feel they look after their staff and care about us they are always looking for new ways to motivate us and to keep us happy our well being is a top priority for them.
