  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • From my experience the structure is left largely to the department manager. This can be a benefit or drawback depending on the leadership and priorities of the department. Personally I have felt the structure has been good, and has allowed me to have clear input into my placements. Areas that I think could benefit from improvement: clarity/communication between university and employer, structure for end of apprenticeships.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Support from the University has varied. The tripartite reviews (with the apprenticeship manager from the university, HR manager and line manager) are always beneficial to give feedback on the course. Other than this, it is mainly been up to the apprentices to seek out additional support if/when required.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Overall the content of the degree course is not focused towards the day-to-day role. However, the development of analytical and communication skills have provided a benefit to my role in work.
