My role at Accenture is a software developer and my day to day job consists of developing applications and websites as part of a team.
At Accenture you are constantly learning new skills whilst at work, for me, the main skills which I have improved are obviously my coding abilities but also my ability to communicate effectively with others.
Applying for this apprenticeship was the best choice I have ever made and I thoroughly enjoy it. I would highly recommend to anyone that they should apply for this apprenticeship.
The structure of the apprenticeship is perfect as it allows you to both manage your day to day work load as well as any work that the university sets.
Accenture are brilliant at putting their employees first and making sure we are looked after at all times, whether its providing us with free equipment or enrolling us on free training courses, they always look to help in the best way they can.
Newcastle college are great at providing support throughout the degree apprenticeship, they always help you out with anything and the quality of teaching is excellent.
For me I find it very useful as what I learn in my day to day job I can also apply to the work set by the university. This makes it much easier for me to understand any requirements set and also allows me to achieve better grades.
At Accenture there are loads of extra-curricular activities to get involved in. They cover such a wide range of hobbies and interests that its very very hard to not find one that you are interested in. Moreover, its very easy to get involved with the activities and meet new people.

Accenture is a brilliant company that sees people for who they are as supposed to what grades they posses. This view creates a very nice and pleasant work environment where everyone is like minded and friendly. In addition, the benefits for working at Accenture are great.
When applying for a job at Accenture, whether its an apprenticeship or not, my advice would be just to always be yourself and try the very best you can.
