I am assist teams in a range of areas including audit and tax.
New skills: leadership, independence, communication, presentation, problem solving Developed existing: confidence, organisation, time management
I thoroughly enjoy the programme
The studying and working aspect is structured very well, because we study the content in blocks, rather than throughout the entire year. Each rotation is 6 months long which I think is long enough to gain experience in each department.
I receive a lot of support from everyone at the company, whether it be the apprenticeship team or the actual team I am working with on a daily basis.
Heaps of support - they're the best! The tutors are so helpful and always answer questions, and we get given loads of resources to study for the exam.
Most of the stuff I learn for exams applies to tasks I do on a daily basis so I feel the qualifications do help me perform better in my role.
Yes, heaps of social activities and professional networking events.
Yes
It is a pleasure to work for KPMG, and the skills you learn and experience you gain whilst on the job are invaluable. The support we get throughout our entire apprenticeship is great and I would definitely recommend KPMG to a friend.
- Be yourself in the interview, they know you're going to be nervous so they're super friendly and don't expect you to give the perfect answer to every question - Be prepared to be thrown in at the deep end, you're not treated like an apprentice - you get proper work from day 1 which is great - Everybody is a lovely, so don't worry about making friends or liking your team because you 100% will!
