  • I AM A TRAINEE ENGINEER AND MY ROLE FROM DAY TO DAY IS PROVIDING AND FAULTING THE FIBRE TO THE PREMISES. ONE DAY I COULD BE DOING OVERHEAD WORK PROVIDING FIBRE TO THE END CUSTOMER OR WORKING ON THE UNDER GROUND NETWORK PROVIDING THE CUSTOMER. I COULD GET A JOB FAULT FINDING IF THE CUSTOMER IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THERE BROADBAND OR LANDLINE

  • I HAVE LEARNT MANY NEW SKILS SINCE STARTING FOR OPENREACH, INCLUDING THE CORRECT PROCEDURE OF PROVIDING OUR CUSTOMERS FIBRE TO THE PREMISES IN A SAFE AND CORRECT MANNER. I HAVE LEARNT THE NETWORK UNDER GROUND AND OVER HEAD AND HOW TO FAULT FIND IF THE CUSTOMER IS HAVING ANY PROBLEMS

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I AM THROUGHLY ENJOYING MY PROGRAMME AND LEARNING DIFFRENT PROCEDURES. I ENJOY MEETING NEW PEOPLE ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS AND INTERACTING WITH THE CUSTOMERS EVERY DAY. I ENJOY THAT IT TWO DAYS ARE NOT THE SAME AND ALL THE DIFFRENT CHALLENGES YOU COME ALONG FROM DAY TO DAY.

  • THE PROGRAMME IS VERY WELL ORGANISED AND STRUCTURED WELL. ALL THE TRAINERS I HAVE MET AND VERY HELPFUL AND WILL GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO HELP YOU IF YOUR ARE STRUGGLING OR GOT ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING ANYTHING INCLUDING YOUR WORK OR PART OF THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME EITHER BY PHONE OR EMAILS

  • MY EMPLOYER HAS BEING VERY HELPFUL AND SUPPORTIVE SINCE JOINING OPENREACH. THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR HELP AND SUPPORT IF NEEDED. EXTRA TIME IS OFFERED IF NEEDED OR REQUSTED ON MY BEHALF FOR ANYTHING AND THEY ARE ALWAYS UNDERSTANDING REGARDING THIS IF NEED BE. IF ANY PROBLEMS REGARDING WORK THEY ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS STRAIGHT AWAY

  • I HAVE BEING GIVING ALOT OF SUPPORT WHILST WORKING TOWARDS THE QUALIFICATIONS. THEY ALWAYS HAVE TIME FOR YOU NO MATTER WHEN AND THEY ARE VERY UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORTIVE. I HAVE THROUGHLY ENJOYED THE TRAINING AND THE ADVICE FROM THE TUTOR. THE TRAINING HAS BEING GREAT AND WORKING WITH OTHERS WHICH I HAVE WORKED WITH HAS BEING EXCELLENT

  • I FEEL THAT THE QUALIFICATION THAT I AHVE BEING WORKING TOWARDS HAS BEING EXTREMLY HELPFUL REGARDING THE FIBRE TO THE PREMISIES ROLE. ALL THE TRAINING HAS BEING EXCELLENT AND VERY INFORMATIVE. WITH OUT THE TRAINING AND THE HELP FROM THE TUTORS, TRAINERS AND BUDDIES I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO MY JOB IN A SAFE AND CORRECT MANNER

  • THERE IS ALOT OF ACTIVITIES AND COURSES YOU COULD DO IN YOUR WORK PLACE. THERE IS A WEEKLY CATCH UP WITH YOUR WHOLE TEAM TO CATCH UP ON OR TO DISCUSS ANY CONCERNS REGARDING YOUR JOBS AND ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE TO HELP IMPROVE YOUR WORK PLACE OR PRODUCTS

  • I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMED OPENREACH AS A CAREER CHANGE TO MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS. THERE IS ALOT OF SUPPORT IN THE COMPANY AND ALOT OF PROGRESSION IN YOUR CARRER IF YOU WANT TO PROGRESS INTO A HIGHER ROLE IF YOU WANTED TO. OPENREACH HAVE GOT ALOT OF GOOD TRAINERS AND TUTORS WILLING TO GIVE SUPPORT

  • THE TIPS OR ADVICE I WOULD GIVE TO OTHER FOR APPLYING TO OPENREACH IS TO RESEARCH THE COMPANY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE A YOU CAN READY FOR YOUR INTERVIEW. REGARDING THE NETWORK, OUR END CUSTOMER AND WHO WE WORK FOR AND WHAT WE DO. BE CONFIDENT AND JUST BE YOUR SELF .
