I work on the High-Touch Sales-Trading desk within UBS Investment bank, we provide an execution service by helping facilitate client orders in order to provide them with liquidity. I'm not fully regulated so I provide data analytics around strategy, Sales-Traders performance, client toxicity and performance updates to senior management.
I have learned coding from scratch, excel, power point, and improved my presenting skills.
I have enjoyed the program as I have been thrown in the deep end and have learned so much. I love the fact that I work with the trades and in a front office roll
It was organised to an extent, all of the training and learning was all coherently done. I found the portfolio building was a bit less structured.
The desk I am on meant that a lot of the time you have to figure out the answer as everyone is very busy but they will always make time if you need help
I received a good amount of support from the training provider and they helped prepare us for the exams and evidencing
I feel the qualifications has allowed me to perform better in my role by having a greater understanding of products and how they work as well as the varying functions/rules.
For the most part of the course it was COVID but prior to that yes there was a good social aspect to work
Yes
It stands out from the others as was offering front office rolls where I am able to interact with the traders. I also love the culture of the company and how friendly everyone is.
Make sure you do your research on the company, understand the culture and be enthusiastic.
