Providing customers with their new network, via overhead or underground. This is new superfast fibre broadband which instead of being fibre to the cab, it now goes fibre to the premises.
I have learnt loads of new skills recently because this is a new job. This includes how to splice the connection point, provide the new cable to the house etc.
I enjoy the fact that even though its the same job doing each day, its completely different locations and the job itself is different from one to another.
It is very well organised due to you know what jobs you are doing on a day to day basis.
We receive a lot of help from our employers because there is a lot of help put in place. Whether that be phone numbers we can call or speaking to our patch manager/leads there is always someone available to help out.
We receive a lot of support working towards our qualifications because there is loads of people who have done something similar and if we are ever stuck, then these people can tend to help when and where possible.
Doing the qualification helps me perform better because I'm learning new stuff about the job each and every day that provides me with the information and knowledge to achieve the best possible result.
Im not entirely sure on this but I would imagine I would be able to find out if i wanted to participate in.
Yes
Because it is a very good and well structured organisation to work for. This isn't just a place where you will have a job, its a career based opportunity to progress up the ladder and in different roles.
Just be yourself and present yourself to the company as best as you can. Dont pressure yourself into over achieving as you could make mistakes along the way.
