I am a project management apprentice in consultancy. My day involves overseeing construction projects for various clients. This involves producing reports and programmes, liaising with external consultants and contractors and presenting to clients.
I have learnt so much in my first year. My use of technology has increased, my communication skills, presentation skills and confidence have all been improved during my first year at Mace.
I enjoy every part of it. Being in this industry gives me exposure to various opportunities, I can work with different clients on different projects which is always exciting.
Extremely well organised. There are clear plans in pace for apprentice with an end goal. Regular training sessions, and support enable apprentices to get the best out of the programme.
I receive plenty of support from all people. Everyone is friendly and is willing to support me in any way.
When I study, all resources are at my disposal. I can easily gain support from tutors and advisors and my wellbeing is looked after.
My studies help my understanding of construction in general, which in turn helps me in my day-to-day role.
Social activities are constantly being planned and I will try to get involved in them as much as possible.
