I work on a project using the system called Blackline. I use this system daily to help the team reconcile the balance sheet recs. I keep close contact to the team leader to help aid the workplans to ensure we as a team hit the deadlines. a a a a
I have learnt many skills throughout my time at RSA. These includes communication in confidently speaking to large groups of people, leadership in being responsible in my part of the project and coordinating within the recs team. I also study whilst working therefore passing my ACCA exams develop my accounting knowledge.
I enjoy the team I am in as my colleagues are really friendly and approachable when issues arise. The company culture is average as we go through many restructures and many people feel like information is kept from the employees. Overall I enjoy my role within the company a a
My programme is structured however there are issues with support from the company. My talent coach told me I should get 20% off the job training which for the past 2 years, has not happened. I get regular calls from my talent coach which I feel is not helpful during busy periods.
Personally my manager supports me in everything I need. The company don't give me 20% off the job training. My mentor/talent coach isn't exactly a talent coach as this is nothing to do with the qualification I'm studying. a a a a a a a a
I get provided with the books, web ex sessions however I feel like the sessions are rushed. The tutors are good and help go through questions but as there are many people within session, its hard to answer everyones queries. I have contacted them after the session but then its not live.
I have used my skills and knowledge in my role and I have learnt many things I can use to contribute to the company. I offer myself out to different teams to assist my knowledge. I do see myself in different roles in the future which will benefit from the qualification
There are social activities but not that many. Obviously during covid pandemic, its been difficult but zoom quizes have been fun. As rule are slightly loosening, plans are starting to come through to return to work therefore activities will follow. There is no sports team that I am aware of.
Yes
Good company with good benefits. There are negatives including many restructures that have not helped with employees. I would recommend the company to others as you can study for the qualification straight away and once fully qualified, have opportunities for a step up in career a a a a a
I have been interviewed and also been an interviewer so I understand the application process. A good thing that I look out for is their friendly personality showing confidence. Don't be afraid to challenge processes with an attention to detail. RSA don't do assessment days for my team's roles.
