Support day-to-day provision & operation of employee benefits by liaising with platform provider, benefit vendors and payroll. Answering employee queries and communicating any policy or benefit changes through email and Yammer.
My apprenticeship has only just begun however it has allowed me to give greater thought to the organisational structure and operating environment of the business.
Hugely. It's great to be actively studying again and then applying that learning back into the business.
I struggled during the introduction stages with understanding what platform to use when and becoming familiar with the structure. It's all clicking into place now as the programme progresses.
A great deal of support - practical support from peers, encouragement and training from my line manager and the freedom to undertake the learning due to the culture of personal development within the wider company.
I have both a Learning Development Coach and a tutor. The tutor sessions are almost weekly and are a great accompaniment to the units of study.
The qualification makes you pause and consider the why and not just the what. Having a wider understanding of the function directly impacts my success in my role.
Extra curricular activities are harder given the current Covid restrictions however there are webinars or lunch and learn events that I can join.
Yes
RSA Group has been a hugely supportive employer during the pandemic and has proven to be a thoughtful business, leading the way in culture both on paper and in practice.
Be authentic. Always be open, honest and professional. Be prepared to both give and take feedback. Keep listening. Openly express your professional ambitions - doors wont open unless you express an interest.
