On a day to day basis, I process payroll, sickness, recruitment paperwork and inductions. I assist managers in disciplinary processes. I produce several different reports for apprentice productivity, monthly HR reports. I conduct sickness reviews and assist employees in different areas.
I have learnt several skills such as planning recruitment campaigns, work force planning, developed my confidence and negotiating skills. I have also gained knowledge in areas of reward management, building capacity of my managers.
For the first 6 months I was without a tutor to guide me through the process, but since having [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] assigned to me, and with her support I have just passed my L5. her helps has been outstanding, as has my functional skills tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions].
Programme was well structured, although affected by Covid, so unable to attend actual lessons, the programme was easy to follow by myself at home. Its just being organised and structured to allow sufficient study time.
My employer and colleagues have been very supportive.
I've had monthly sessions and reviews with my training provider to enable me to stay on track and on time to finish. She has provided me with the skills to set small achievable targets to get to the bigger goal.
I feel that the qualification will give me the confidence and knowledge to help me perform at a much higher level than before. knowing that the help and advise that I give to employees and managers alike, is helping situations to be resolved quickly and fairly.
We do have some extra curricular activities such as social get togethers, pancake days, breakfast burger meetings, but obviously at the moment these have been put on hold due to social distancing. we aim to reintroduce these and parties as soon as we can.
Yes
I believe that Motus Commercials is a supportive and innovative employer, with employee engagement at the forefront of many initiatives. I believe the training and development routes are accessible for all staff who wish to further their career, knowledge and skills.
Just do it!
