Higher Apprentice/Applications Consultant - Oracle Solution Centre Current Role - Data Migration. Migrate clients legacy data to the target system using PL/SQL packages, Dataload & SQL. We migrate the data in practice runs, these are called Dress Rehearsals, when the system is ready to Go Live we migrate the data for the final time into the Production environment.
Technical and operational skills; defect reporting, producing reconciliation reports, creating Unit Test Plans, Oracle EBS, SQL, Putty/Unix, Dataload and an overall understanding of the Dress Rehearsal Lifecycle.
I enjoy the project environment, travel and the consultant lifestyle.
HA's are very valued at Capgemini, projects are still getting used to the arrival of HA's but overall I feel valued and a respected member of the team.
Overll the programme is well structured however at times communication is strained.
I receive lots of support from my QA Assessor.
