I thoroughly enjoy studying with Kaplan on the on demand course. I can fit it in around work and home at a time that suits me. The tutorial videos provide a good basic understanding of the topics which can be built upon by doing the questions in the workbooks.
The course is well organised and each module is broken down into manageable chapters and tutorial videos. The textbook and workbook compliment the online videos perfectly.
My employer fully supports my apprenticeship. I get half a day study leave each week and time off for my exams. My line managers take an interest in my studies and career development and aways find new opportunities for me to learn new skills.
Kaplan provide a Talent Coach who looks after my wellbeing and ensures I am meeting my apprenticeship requirements. As well as a 6 week contact they meet with my manager every 6 months for a review. Kaplan also have online tutors who provide technical support for the course.
The theoretical knowledge I get from my ACCA course helps me to understand the reasons why we perform certain tasks at work and the benefits to the organisation. I try to align what I am studying with different tasks I perform. It also helps me work better in a team.
We are all encouraged to attend events such as HFMA conferences to learn new techniques and accounting practices.
