As a Cost Consultant, the day-to-day roles are never the same. Recently, I was apart of a team completing a Cost Plan for a Project in Bath. This involved myself being in-charge of certain work packages (e.g. External Walls, Soft Landscaping). Using BIM and Causeway (Cost Planning Software) I was given the responsibility to deliver the Cost of these packages. I also help with Cost Reporting, Cost Estimating and frequently join meetings with Clients to catch them up on the progress of different projects
The most important skill I have gained/improved upon from this apprenticeship has been communication and working in a team. Whilst working on projects, you realize how imperative good communication and team work is to make a project a success. Additionally, I have learnt how to use BIM (Building Information Modeling) as well as various other software
The work I have been given so far has pushed me out of my comfort zone and really excelled my expectations. I have been given more responsibility then I had thought I would be given at this stage in my career and I have developed as a Cost Consultant because of this.
Very well organised - Internal training is provided often to help our development and the apprenticeship team frequently organise reviews to share any concerns you have and to review your development

An excellent place to work where employees are very welcoming. People are always happy to help if you need it. Mace itself has a clear ambition and a robust plan going forward.
Learn the values of Mace and what it strives to become in the industry. Do some research on previous project and why it stands out against the competition
