I work as a paralegal running my own cases trying to settle them. I have to draft letters, contact clients, write to medical experts and make offers to defendants.
I have developed my drafting skills and learnt how to settle a medical negligence claim.
I really enjoyed my program which is soon coming to an end. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a legal career
The organisation is very structured and there is a certain pathway which needs to be followed
I receive enough support from my employer but i also have a lot of responsibility for my job
I gain some support but a lot of the work is independent based like being at university
It gives me understanding of the law behind my job/ job role
I am in a netball team in the firm, a business development group and a social committee
Yes
The firm is very good and the staff are very friendly. There is always people on hand to help and communication between colleagues is very good
of course be professional but also friendly as we want employees who are easy to talk to and do not shy away from a task
