Training and coaching stores in their Online Services. Training new stores and setting up the services. Reviewing and acting on data given to help stores achieve the required targets. Travelling across a region to interact with the colleagues. Looking after 120+ stores. Interacting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure any issues are rectified quickly
Developed knowledge and usage of Excel and Microsoft Office programmes, this has enabled me to fully understand data and manipulate it to show colleagues the importance of their actions. Have become more confident in meeting and interacting with new people, and speaking up to get my point and issues across.
The Apprenticeship has really helped me with my confidence, and has made me realise how much I did already know to help me progress with my career. Being on the Apprenticeship has allowed and helped me to progress from a Store Manager into a field role, and hopefully even further
The programme is very well structured. With all modules taking place in order at the right time. There was a large gap during Covid, and it was difficult to then get back on track, as I also had a new coach. But this has all worked out well, and all work has been completed
My employer has been there in the background, but I haven't really received any support or guidance from anyone. I have completed the entire programme by myself with the coach. However, I also haven't really felt the need to seek out the help or guidance from my employer
My final coach was excellent in helping me to understand the level of detail I needed to provide, and completing the modules as a conversation rather than a large piece of written work. This will help for preparation of my business project presentation and my professional discussion, to make me feel more at ease in talking about myself and experiences
The qualification has really helped me to believe in myself, and have confidence that I know and understand what I am doing in my job role. This in turn then helps the colleagues around me to do the right thing and believe in themselves too. It has also helped me to progress my career
There are lots of different activities to get involved in. Including quiz nights, park runs, team meetings and team building days, large scale social events, raising money for charities, getting involved with local causes, networking with different sides of the business. There are also lots of perks to be claimed such as discounts for joining the gym, or cinema
Yes
There are many good reasons to work for Coop, the pay is good, the benefits are good. But most of all there are so many opportunities to learn and grow and then progress your career. The opportunities are available to everyone, and job roles can be adapted for disabilities etc
Love your job! Take every opportunity you can get, and put yourself out there. Take all training, or opportunities such as the apprenticeship to gain more knowledge and confidence. Learn how to create and grow a fantastic team of people, the people around you will be everything! Never stop learning and teaching!
