  • Provide administration within the Medical Education Undergraduate department at the trust, assist with co-ordinating students from the Sheffield medical school on placement here as student doctors. • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Developed existing skills and gained more confidence to use these in my role. Developed new skills in delivering a project change in the department to benefit colleagues and students coming to placement. I have never seen a project through in my role from start to finish and with this course I was able to do this.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed the coursework and project but felt that I wasn't allowed sufficient time out of my job role to complete parts of the course unless it was a tutor session or modules I attended online.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised and a good structure. The only disappointing part was that I change course tutor three times so they had to get to know my learning style and I had to get to know them also.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Not as much as I would have liked as I should have had at least a day a week out of my job role for study but I never had this all the way through. I was given time out for the tutor one to one sessions and course days only.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Outstanding support from my training provider, my third tutor really did drive me forward when I needed it, without her I don't think I would have got to EPA on my projected end date. My maths tutor was brilliant to work with, very patient, great supporter and really helped me through difficult questions and gave me a massive confidence boost to have a go, without her input I would not achieved my maths pass.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel I had lots of the skills already but the qualification has allowed me to brush up on some rusty skills, I have gained confidence in my job role, taken on new responsibilities and proved to my manager that I can manage a project who now feels I could do another. I also think it has given me a boost to think about my career path and use my skills more.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really aware of any.
