My role is to support customers with their technology requirements, whether it is a new service or an existing one. I also manage and process requests through the departments governance and procedures and monitor progress for all requests with our suppliers.
Yes - learned all the modules on project management which includes; stakeholder manager, business case, scheduling, risk and issues management, supplier engagement, scope management, budgeting and cost control, governance processes and context of projects/programmes and portfolio's.
I enjoyed the teaching method, interactions with learners and the knowledge based exercises. This has been useful in my development and practicing what I have learned in my day to day job. I found the modules to be much easier via online webinars
The structure of the modules were well organised and I found it easy to follow. The subject matter were emailed in advance with relevant documentations to prepare prior to the webinar classes. Mock exams at the end of each module was good for preparation.
I have had really good support from my manager and my team as a whole. The team provided support by covering for me on days I spent doing programme work and my line manager assisted in providing guidance and encouragement throughout.
My course teacher always gives time outside of the online webinars to help me with things I do not understand. The mock preparation and extra time helped me a lot in getting ready for my exam and providing support in producing the case studies.
Understanding certain aspects of project management which I was never exposed to before has increased my knowledge and understanding of how end to end delivery of a project works. I was apply to apply the majority of what I have learned in projects directly or give directions to colleagues.
Due to the pandemic - all work is carried out from home so limited on examples of interactions with colleagues.
