I am a tutor and assessor providing specialist tutoring and support for learners completing the Early Years Educator apprenticeship and the Teaching Assistant Standard. This involves teaching, marking and challenging the apprentices, ensuring they are developing the needed knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully pass their end-point assessment.
I have learnt many skills since starting with Let me play LTD - 5 star safeguarding training, specialist Equality and Diversity leading and most recently, Manager training enabling me to develop leadership skills in preparation for managing a team of my own one day soon hopefully - all with wonderful guidance and support.
I have a tutor who is always on hand to provide worthwhile and needed support, often going out of their way to cater to my personal needs and boost my morale. Knowing i have several people to turn to for support is amazing and you get that family/team feeling. Sessions are fun and engaging.
Sessions are planned well in advance so there is always time to foresee clashes and have a detailed structure to them. I know my pre-learning tasks to complete and expectations aswell as the criteria I need to cover in my work. Sessions always begin on time and my tutor is very reliable.
I receive so much support, from health plans to well-being webinars, there is always a drop-in to attend or time with my manager to discuss any queries or concerns - the main ethos and values are so strong and I feel like I am constantly developing a wide range of skills there.
My tutor is on hand most days to answer concerns, no question is too small and they always put my mind at rest. I have my personal learning journey planned out with achieveable milestones broken down so I can clearly see my next steps and targets which is amazing and so helpful!
I think developing my managerial skills will ultimately enable me to lead and do my job more effectively - working on people skills, delegating and task-setting through to dealing with conflict and disagreements are all life skills that will help me do my job both now and in the future with whatever that entails.
All of the above! We often have social events, check-ins, team building sessions (remotely at the moment) to lift spirits, keep morale high and connect which can be so beneficial for work ethic and mental wellbeing - staff call when they can rather than email so it is alot more friendly and approachable.
Yes
I would recommend Let me play to a friend because they have such a welcoming, hands-on approach and really invest time, skill and patience into their learners and strive to develop all staff and apprentices - I will keep in contact with my tutor even after I have passed my apprenticeship!
The application process is stress-free - everything is emailed and communicated over with clear instructions and realistic target dates - interviews are conducted fairly and professionly with your best interests at the heart and when assigned a tutor, the onboarding session is so informative! It makes you so excited to continue the journey.
