I am employed as a Technical Operations Planner for Cummins, I completed my apprenticeship as part of Higher Education to develop my skills and knowledge of Engineering principles to aid my role.
I have developed basic skills and knowledge of Engineering Principles, ability to be able to read drawings and developed hands on skills with being able to use tools and equipment in the workshop environment.
I enjoyed the hands on experience, working as part of a team with others from other organizations and creating a product from scratch.
Fairly structured, I attended weekly College sessions prior to the Pandemic and completed Knowledge and Understanding online questions weekly.
100% support and commitment from my Employer, including the ability to attend weekly college sessions.
It has allowed me to understand the basic principles of Engineering to be able to apply them to day - day aspects of my role.
