I process and track all invoices for a customer I look after on Home care and also Account Manage a different customer on Personal care. Account managing can include talking to the buyer and negotiating prices and also maintaining internal data.
I've learnt how to use Excel and TPM and also how to speak to external stakeholders. I've developed my understanding of the P&L and had the chance to learn about different areas of the business through training sessions.
I've really enjoy the programme so far and have learnt so much in the space of 9 months. I've enjoyed getting to know my team (virtually) and also finding that any question is a sensible question if it can help you to learn.
My programme is structured well and allows time for me to work Monday-Thursday while having Friday as my "study day" for my apprenticeship course work. This works really well as my team know when I am available and it allows me to structure my week well.
I feel really well supported and know that if I had any problems I would be able to speak to my manager for a solution. Everyone is so helpful and keen for apprentices to learn so it's a great environment.
My training provider is equally really supportive and will always make time if I feel I need some extra support on something. The communication is always open and I feel I can ask for help if and when I need it.
My qualification will definitely help me within my role as I have learnt all about stakeholder management and also about change management within the workplace. It has also given me a chance to write about everything I have achieved during my apprenticeship so I can look back at it in years to come.
In a month or so I am doing a walk for charity with my department which we have been training for by using a step counting app. We also play a game of taskmaster every Thursday after work which is really fun and has been great for getting to know people.
Yes
It is a brilliant company to work for and so inclusive to all. It has so many learning resources and everyone is so happy to see you succeed within the company. Despite being a huge company, you get to know everyone so quickly because it is such an open and friendly company.
Just be yourself and focus on the difference that you could make to Unilever. The company really see the value each individual can add to the shared experience and are so open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. Be open to new opportunities and try and bring a new perspective.
