Everyday of my working day is different, dependant on the department i am working in my work varys quite a lot. Some days i can be desiging new tools for our manufcaturing lnes. Somedays i will be working on quality project which is what i really enjoy.
I have learnt a lot of new skills since i have started my apprenticeship, CAD models, presentation skills, hands on maintenance work and much more. I have also developed my confidence, talking skills and my work life attitude and really enjoy my job role.
I enjoy my apprenticeship programme very much. Some days can be very challenging with college work and work load but it really pushes my limits and capability.
Overall the structure of my apprenticeship is good, there are some rotations which are messy, for example not a lot of work or even not cared about as the apprentice in the placement. Most placements have a well structured plan but there is definatley room for improvement.
If i ever need support theere is a mentor and leadership programme put in place so i always have a person looking for my best interest and i think this to work very well.
My college/ traning provider gives me a lot of support when needed but there is definatley room for improvement. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
I feel like it definatley help my knowledge in the workplace but i often dont need the use of my qualification in my role.
There are many extra-curricular activities aithin my work. For example i play football after work with my collegues and enjoy it very much and have made some really good friends with people from work.
Yes
i would 100% reccomend this apprenticeships too my friend it is a very very good programme i have became much more confident in myself and learnt an amazing amount of knowlege of the manufacturing engineering world compared to where i was at the start. I belive the cummins apprenticeship programme to be better than most schemes.
Be confident and show a genuine interest into the work we do at cummins. For example do your reaseach as it is a very tough programme to get into but once you are in you will not regret it.
