On a day to day basis I cold call prospects, catch up with my customers and work on projects with specialists. I also spend time using our CRM hunting for new accounts to target and putting together quotes to send off to customers. I am responsible for my accounts IT spend at Softcat so i have to be on the ball.
I've learnt negotiation skills from my training sessions with Debs and I've learnt about certain aspects of IT from my training with REMIT. I've developed time management and organisational skills by having the responsibility of looking after customers myself and dealing with their queries in a timely manner.
Very much so.
Induction and the kick offs (events hosted by Softcat) have been organised very well. I think the programme is hosted well by Softcat and REMIT.
I receive plenty of support from not only my apprentice manager and my team leader but my other colleagues at Softcat.
Plenty of support.
Very well.
Plenty, including Kick-Off and the May ball (amongst others).
Yes
It's a great company.
You've got to be prepared to cold call and put in the hard work.
