my role requires me to go into underground boxes and check if there is possibility to put in the new fibre network across the south coast. we survey rope and pull it he fibre lines and create documents to clear blockages on the routes we require or find alternative routes.
I have learnt new skills and developed skills that I have prior to this . I have learnt a lot regarding the telecoms industry and how it works. they have fine tuned my safety and risk assessment skills. They have given me skills in traffic management and safety while working in rural areas
I thoroughly enjoy the content because although it may appear repetitive each area and every job comes with its own pros and cons and problems to solve. Being able to assess and make decisions and then feed them back knowing that they are taken into account for the further planning makes the job worthwhile

The team have there own little get togethers at times and bond well. If a member of staff take part n charity events there is a sense of community as we all pull behind them and support them. they do try to do a bi-annual event with the team to keep the sense of all in this together
