  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification gives me more information on what I am actually doing. And why I am doing certain tests. For example at work I have learnt how to do blood pressure measurements however at college I have learnt the ins and outs of blood pressure measurements and what they should be.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are no other activities within my work at the minute however on a Tuesday 2 people from my department go down to a different site called breathing space which is a lovely change and gives us chance to be somewhere else and learn in a different environment. I enjoy this.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Rotherham general hospital to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend it to a friend as it is a lovely hospital and all the staff are so polite they will always speak to you. It is really clean and has cleaners in constantly. You feel really at home when you’re at work because everyone is so lovely and you get so much help and support.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rotherham general hospital?
  • I would do a lot of research on the tasks that it says when you are applying for the job and I would make sure they know about everything including numbers and things. Also, I would say they need to be ready to do long shifts but they will have a day off.
