On a day-to-day basis I carry out my college work that is set by my training provider and complete it to a standard that is acceptable. I also have to do any tests that are set and therefore during my time at collage I may have to revise for said tests. I would say my current role is a learner within the design trade.
Yes, I feel that I have learned many new skills when carrying out my day-to-day tasks as well as develop my skills. For example, I feel that during my college course I have gained a greater understanding of a range of subjects as well as develop a new skill set towards these subjects. In regards to developing skills, I feel I have developed many of my abilities both specific to the college work and outside of the college work.
I very much enjoy my time at college and I think this is due to the fact I feel I have a high interest in the work I do in the programme, as well as the programme involving a range of different subjects. I addition to this I feel that the programme allows me to gain a far better understanding of what I’m already interested in.
I think that the lessons and the plan of how the lessons are set out allow me to learn about each subject within the time frame I’m at college. Furthermore, I think that how the course is structured and set out in a way that allows me to keep a high interest in each subject, without feeling burned out in any specific lesson.
I think that I receive enough support from my employer through frequent calls with them as well as having the support through college. As well as this I feel there is enough people to speak to in regards to my employer that if I were to have an issue in college then this would be resolved.
I think that I receive a large amount of support from my training provider. I feel that there are tutors in college that are very helpful with my work and will help me out with any work which I might have issues with and make sure that I can complete the work set, if I’m having issues with balancing my work.
These qualifications will give me a much better understanding of certain aspects of my job role and therefore help me when I’m completing tasks set in work. In addition to this I think that my time in college will prepare me for the workplace as it allows me to gain experience in an environment where I will be learning about relevant subjects.
There are extracurricular activities that can be done in college such as using the gym facilities when available. Also I believe when I move into the workplace there will be opportunities to get involved in other activities and do extra things that can help get involved more with work, which will help me develop my skills.
Yes
Because I enjoy my time at college and I feel that when I progress into the business I will enjoy my work. I also feel that if someone has an interest in the trade that they go for that BAE will allow them to learn a lot about that subject they have an interest it.
That if they have an interest in something, be sure to put their mind to that work and be ready to learn new things both directly about that subject, and other similar things. Also, be ready to adapt to any new work that they may not have had before, as it is worth completing it as it will help gain a better understanding of what they are doing.
