  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have been placed on the Hull discipline. Depending on what team they work in the hull discipline would work on the design of the body of the submarine, they would mature the items as they have to make sure everything has to be of a certain level, ECR’s would be a part of their daily jobs as this is an engineering change request so they would have to act upon these when given them to make sure everything is still being built correctly. They do outputs to support the build program and design their items they are in charge of on the specific teams as well as changing items already designed. As well as that they would be answering queries from people on their team and from other teams.

  • I have developed my team working skill as I have had to work with new people in a team and do presentations and figure out problems with them. I have also developed my confidence as I have had to do a presentation which I was not very confident with to begin with.
